Continuing to explore the claim of Zionism as supersessionist, an idea proffered by Yaakov Yadgar in his book To Be a Jewish State, below in the spirit of the final days of Passover and the Israelites’ trek through the Reed Sea liberated from servitude, I turn in a slightly different direction and offer a series of reflections on the complex relationship between Zionism and religion in the context of freedom vs. liberation.
